This is such a charming story with a wonderful rhyming text that will delight children and the reader with its gentle humour and warmth. Lorna Gray has designed some glorious, vivid illustrations to bring the story and characters to life. I could easily envisage the Queen having tea with her good auld friend Nessie and donning a most suitable hat for the occasion. Gorgeous story telling by Rebecca McDowall that I can see becoming a firm favourite at story time.
